OCCUPATIONAL PROFILES OF GRADUATES
Graduates of Department of Industrial Engineering may be employed to design, set up, operate, control and develop the most efficient competitive production systems by increasing productivity in industry, service and public sectors in which industrial systems inevitably take part. They internalize informatics and information technology, which are accepted as the most important factor of today’s development, during their education and they adopt integrated system approach which means increasing production and productivity to decrease costs. They are the most preferred engineers of the sector. Their study subjects are system modeling and optimization, operation management, expert and intuitive system development, decision support and simulation systems, supply chain management, project management, logistics, stock control, product and process design, information technology, information management and data mining, operations research and optimization, computer integrated production systems, computer - assisted production, maintenance and reliability systems, total quality management, etc.
